Pedagogy and Practice Term 4

We are delighted to be joined by Chriss, from the Narragunnawali: Reconciliation in Education Team, for our Term 4 Pedagogy and Practice Meeting. Chriss has worked in early childhood care and education since 2012 in out of school hours care coordinating a service before managing early childhood centres on Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country in Canberra. Chriss has been involved in RAP working groups since 2013 and joined the Narragunnawali: Reconciliation in Education team at Reconciliation Australia as a RAP community officer in January 2022. A passionate educator, Chriss sees reconciliation in education as an essential component to a meaningful and well-rounded education that will support children, educators, families and communities across Australia.

Chriss will join us for the first hour, after which, we invite members to share their own journeys towards Reconciliation. This will be a time to reflect and connect and hopefully inspire everyone to further embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in their work with children and young people.

The National Outside School Hours Services Alliance (NOSHSA) acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to culture, land, waterways and communities.  We pay our respects to them and their cultures, and to the elders both past and present.
