ACT Community of Practice
Join our first meeting of the year to discuss some important local and national OSHC issues.
Time & Location
20 Feb 2024, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm AEDT
Eastlake Football Club, 3 Oxley St, Griffith ACT 2603, Australia
About the Event
Facilitated by: Kylie Keane, NOSHSA ACT Rep and Kylie Brannelly, NOSHSA Chair
You are invited to attend our regular Community of Practice (CoP) in the ACT facilitated by the National Outside School Hours Care Services Alliance (NOSHSA). This is a valuable opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and discuss important issues currently impacting the OSHC sector in the ACT. Through collaboration we seek to explore possible solutions and strategies for future advocacy within the ACT. At this meeting we will be discussing:
- Multi-employer bargaining and OSHC (this discussion follows the application for an Australian Government funded wage increase for Long Day Care and what the OSHC sector may need to do in our advocacy for the same)
- NOSHSA membership fees (to enable attendance at national meetings and to help fund our advocacy and promotion efforts as well as resources and support)
- Update on local advocacy for interpretation of Regulation 74
- WERA IRN Global Research in Extended Education Conference - hosted in Brisbane by NOSHSA/Griffith University September 2022
